~Central Terminal Peregrines, where is Stella?

The Peregrine above is definitely banded,  black over green.  Stella is not banded.  Could this be a male, or, where is our Stella?

Statler Peregrine on the nestbox perch today
Central Terminal Peregrine with a fresh kill appears to have a band, so it may be just a winter visitor

~Peregrines at Central Terminal~

Two Peregrines, hopefully Stash and Stella, were flying circles around the CT tower, and almost hovering in place with the strong winds!

Below, a view from near the Ohio Street Canal area showing the grain and cement elevators where Peregrines have been seen in the past.  A nest box was installed last year, a bit late for the nesting season, but we hope the box will be claimed this spring!  It is a wonderful location, on the waterfront and canal, for feasting on the Peregrines preferred diet of waterfowl.  There is a new park near the canal, connecting with Tifft Preserve, so songbirds will also be plentiful.
